"Babydoll face" is not an official breed designation — it's a descriptive term used by breeders and enthusiasts to describe Maltese with an extreme, doll-like facial structure. This look is most commonly associated with Korean Maltese, though not all Korean-bred Maltese possess these traits.

Wide, Round Dome-Shaped Head
The babydoll Maltese has a distinctively high, round forehead — almost like a little dome. This rounded skull gives the face a uniquely sweet, childlike appearance that sets them apart from standard Maltese.
Large, Round, Wide-Set Eyes
Perhaps the most defining feature — large, round eyes set wide apart on the face. These expressive eyes give the babydoll Maltese their irresistibly soft, gentle, and soulful expression. The eyes appear full and luminous, almost impossibly sweet.
Short Snubbed Nose Tipped Upward
The nose is short and snubbed, preferably tipped slightly upward, nestled between the eyes. The ideal width is about one finger wide. This retroussé nose completes the "babydoll" look — compact, button-like, and adorable.
